Boobzapalooza is a month-long celebration of breasts. Running throughout the month of October (Breast Cancer Awareness month), Boobzapalooza gathers a micro-collection of uniquely designed, handmade products by Scottish artists, all inspired by boobs. Each product is designed to revel in the wonder of tits, with 40% of the proceeds from every sale being donated to UK charity Breast Cancer Now.
Following the inaugural Boobzapalooza - during which the original three artists (Kathleen Moodie, Jennifer Colquhoun and Beth Lamont) raised £810 for Breast Cancer Now and were awarded Creative Edinburgh’s Collaboration Award - the three creatives are coming together again for an even bigger boob-fest.
This year Boobzapalooza will offer products designed and created by six Scottish artists: Kathleen Moodie (K.Moods), and our residents Jennifer Colquhoun (The Illustrated Lab) and Beth Lamont will be producing a new range of limited-edition products, as will new-comers Tash De Salis from The Wax Jungle, Jude Gove, and Catherine from Ellen Catherine Jewellery. The products will be limited-edition runs of uniquely breast-inspired products; only available during the month of October.
The products will be available to view and purchase online via Kathleen, Beth and Jennifer’s online stores, but for an even bigger celebration, Boob-fans are welcomed to the Pop-Out Pop-Up to be held this year at Coburg House on Friday 18th October 2019 - and running until Sunday 20th. The Pop-Out Pop-Up kicks off with a party on the Friday (Wear It Pink day) supported by Pilot Brewery and Pickerings Gin. The Boobzapalooza products will be available in the flesh throughout the weekend, along with an exhibition of process work and a lot of pink decorations, and will continue to be for sale online during October.
