Accessing Coburg House

Coburg House is a big, old building, with a lot of stairs. We encourage visitors to our Shop, Gallery space and studios, but accessing these is not always possible without using stairs.

As the above illustration shows, our Shop has level access from Coburg Street, and we welcome visitors every weekend from 11am to 4pm. Our Gallery space is accessed via the Shop entrance, and then by a staircase with three steps. There are no accessible toilets. There is no public access to studios (outside of our Open Studios events), but when there is, these are all accessed via an internal staircase or the Gallery staircase.

Our History

Coburg House is a thriving hub of artists, designers and makers in the heart of Leith, Edinburgh.
​This former granary has housed studios for over 20 years now and is home to a ​dynamic creative community with a well established reputation for excellence.
