Coburg's __tober Exhibition

__tober.jpg

Our end of October exhibition sees several of the Coburg residents bring together a collection of work curated to celebrate the month.

The idea for this exhibition stems from Inktober; an online project that began in 2009 thanks to an artist who refers to himself as Mr Jake Parker. The artist states that he started Inktober as a way of challenging himself to improve his 'inking skills' and as a way of 'developing positive drawing habits'. The premise is for artists, designers and illustrators to draw one thing every day in October, typically following a series of prompts.

Several of our residents have decided to loosely interpret this theme into an exhibition, held in Coburg House over the weekends of 26th October and the 2nd November. Whilst some are taking it literally, and will show a culmination of the work created over the month (adding the final pieces for the final weekend - so visitors really need to come twice!), others are devising their own ‘Oc’tober, and interpreting the theme in a whole new way.

For an exhibition that encompasses the breadth of creativity that Coburg House has to offer, and gives a bizarre look into the inside of our artist’s minds, get down to Coburg gallery at the end of October and have yours blown.
