Whether you’re just starting out or are an established artist looking for a more intimate space to test a new collection, the Coburg Gallery space is the perfect place for you.
On the ground floor of our bustling studio complex, at mezzanine level, is a contemporary gallery space. This space is available to hire for installations and exhibitions. The Coburg Gallery (and adjoining shop, populated by products created by our studio holders) is open to the public from 11am to 4pm during weekends, and we can also open between 6pm and 9pm on Friday evenings for private views*.
Our ground floor has window frontage with good street presence. A short set of five steps takes you to the mezzanine (gallery) level, which features original timber floors (painted grey) and whitewashed walls. There is a hanging system for hung artworks on all walls, plus a selection of plinths and cabinets for 3D artworks. The gallery offers directional LED spotlights and 24sqm to display your works however you choose!
We can provide exhibitors access to a small kitchen with microwave, fridge and sink, unisex toilets, and will assist you with promoting your exhibition (by featuring it on our website, in our newsletter and on social media shortly before the event) and will be responsible for taking sales. Exhibition setup and hanging, design, promotion and take down are the responsibility of the exhibitor. Access will be provided outside of public opening times for set up and take down.
The hire charge for a weekend is £150 (inc. VAT). Saturday and Sunday 11-4pm. An opening night can also be arranged for an additional £60, which would be on the Friday night 6-9pm. There is a 20% commission on any sales.
