Coburger Laura Delahunt’s art encompasses drawing and painting the figurative form, from sculptures to humans and animals using a range of mediums including oil paint, egg tempera and charcoal. She creates energy and atmosphere using different techniques, exploring topics like myths in a contemporary world, visceral and physical being through anatomy, and human and animal psychology. She is interested in consciousness and being - how we all relate to our environments. 

Laura believes the tradition of painting has a pleasure that cannot be spoken: Learning more about painting history while being part of this as she paints. She enjoys making her mediums (egg tempera and watercolour paints, by hand in her loft studio at Coburg House. She is exploring as the masters did, in a contemporary world full of endless possibilities and new thoughts.
