Lorna Hewitt has been a professional jeweller for 30 year, hand making unique pieces of jewellery for each customer. Her designs are diverse, taking inspiration from her surroundings, nature as well as jewellery from past eras. She can design something very rustic, but equally something very structural, the choice is yours.
Lorna also loves remodelling cherished pieces of jewellery, keeping the meaning behind your sentimental jewellery but making it into something that can be worn still with love but to your own unique style.
If you would like a piece of jewellery made especially for you, email Lorna and she would be delighted to make an appointment with you.
The free consultation is very relaxed, taking place in her studio workshop (studio 31) where you can chat about your style and inspiration, and Lorna can show you some of her jewellery to get ideas. This process normally lasts about an hour. If you are looking to add stones, Lorna can also source a selection for you to choose from.
Once an idea starts to take shape, Lorna will then take her time to do some sketches for you to choose from, as well as quotes. This normally takes around 3 days. You can then take your time to make your decision and once the design and quote have been confirmed, Lorna will take a 50% deposit up front, or you can arrange a payment plan if this makes it easier for you. The process of making your jewellery will take approximately 4 months from when the deposit has been made, giving Lorna time to do a great job on your individuality tailored piece of jewellery.
