Meet the ARtist…
Astrid is inspired by everyday objects whose shapes or textures appeal to her. She makes paint by mixing gesso and glue with mill-ground pigments, this technique enables her to scratch into the surface creating distinctive textures, she also uses collage of antique newspapers.
